Your first session
Your first session provides an opportunity for you to share your story and become comfortable in the therapeutic environment. I will ask you some questions about yourself, your health and lifestyle so I can get to understand you better.
I will provide a counselling agreement and explain how we will work together.
Starting counselling
If you decide counselling feels right for you after your initial consultation, we will meet for 50 minutes at the same time each week, however I can offer flexible sessions for shift workers.
I use an open-ended approach - meaning there is no fixed number of sessions. I typically ask for a commitment to six sessions to begin with, then we will review our work together and what you would like to do next.
